The Department of Surgery is dedicated to providing high quality surgical education through comprehensive clinical exposure, research at the forefront of medicine and mentoring by physicians and scientists devoted to the craft.
The General Surgery Residency is a fundamental part of the department and the Jacob’s School of Medicine. For medical students, we offer a junior clerkship and many senior electives in the affiliated hospitals. The Department offers residencies in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. We also offer fellowships in Pediatric Surgery, Colon-Rectal Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and Minimally Invasive Surgery.
